For Lack of a Better Post...

Hey all!

I apologise for the lack of posts lately, but I have not really been very productive over the last few weeks. This is mainly due to the fact that I am still waiting for two releases to actually be released on Get Some! Records. For those who are interested, these are the "257 Squadron" single and the "Juniper Rocks" Collaboration EP with Matthew Riley. Hopefully, these should be out soon, so that I can write about them and move onto my next projects...

I have, however, entered a remix competition, for "Aufgang" and their track, "Dulceria". I know it won't win, and isn't the best I have ever done, but do please have a listen and tell me what you think. You may also notice that I have now got a Fairtilizer account, as the competition states that you need one of these. It could come in useful for track hosting, as demonstrated below...

Cheers,

Dark.

P.S. I'm slightly drunk while writing this. Sorry.

A Bit of an Update

Basically, this is what's going down this summer:

1. My "French Stuff" project (as "Thomas En Masse") will be completed within the next few weeks, me thinks. This depends if I can find some good samples. I'm thinking of having about 3-5 tracks on this one.

2. Hopefully, my debut EP release ("9") on "Phantom Records" (headed up by DJ Waybig and Beatrage) will be out very soon. I will post about this in more depth when released.

3. Seeing the release of the final single from "2010" on Get Some! Records, "257 Squadron".

4. Starting some material for my debut album on "Phantom Records". This is currently unnamed, and has an undefined genre, but may be a mix of styles, plus im gonna do some vocals for this one!

5. Beginning to look seriously into crafting my "Oblivion" live set, which I am going to be building and utilising for use on a "Phantom Records" tour in the near future. Some people may have seen and noticed that I have created some demos for the set, but i've decided to start again to include some new ideas. More information soon.

6. Something slightly less musical is my "Costume" that i'm going to be making. Well, ok, it isn't a costume in the literal sence, but i'll show everyone what I mean in the next few weeks.

That's about it from me right now. Peace out, yo.

Dark

PS! I forgot to mention the "Juniper Rocks" EP will be out soon, which is a collaborative effort with "Matthew Riley".

French Stuff

Let's all have a hearty celebration to mark the return of my alter ego "Thomas En Masse!

After using the alias to dabble with Techno style tracks, I've decided that it would probably make sence to shift my sample/ french house projects under this alter ego, due to the french sounding name.

To show you what sort of songs "Thomas En Masse" will be producing, here is an edit of the title track for my next EP as TEM, titled "French Stuff":

All That You See And Do Is Fake by Dark DJ

This is a remix of a remix, if that makes sence?

It is basically a reworking of my "Untitled Track" remix for Matthew Riley. Except it's different. Alot more effects, better mastering and some vocals!

This is slated to appear on Matthew Riley's next release: "Flash/Untitled Track EP".

Matthew Riley on Soundcloud, if you want to hear more of his stuff :)

Cool Thing of the Week: Dan's Dive

I have decided to do a brave and bold thing for such a small, specialist blog.

I'm gonna post some random stuff that I like, in the hope that others will to. This will obviously include some random Youtube videos, pictures and websites that I find interesting, amusing or cool, hence the title of the post. I hope whoever reads the blog will enjoy this crap too. :)

This week: One of my videos of my best mate diving into the sea.

Warning! Does contain some mild language, mild peril and, most importantly, mild swimming).

Dark DJ - Uneasy Feeling / Victory Theme

These two tracks will form part of the game I am scoring, "Josh The Master Of Gohn 3". I am scoring the entire game, but these are the only new compositions I have done, as the rest of the tracks have appeared on my past releases.
