The Framptons & Tokyo Bass

"The Framptons" Originated as a remixing alter ego, to create what I define as "Acid House" remixes of several of my tracks, including "Automatic", "Dance Electric" and "Test".

I was originally going to also create an album as "The Framptons", with between 5-7 tracks, but I only ever managed to create one track, "Three". This is because I was concentrating too much on "Dark DJ" releases,as well as framptons remixes, and mainly because ive never been able to replicate the original style of "Three".

So then, here is the "Single" as a download, enjoy it.The Framptons - Three (Single)

Purely because I dont want to add a full fat post again, also avaliable for download is my extremely old and rare "Tokyo Bass EP", created under my alias of "Tokyo Bass": Tokyo Bass - Tokyo Bass EP

Cheers,

Dark.

Firstly a big thank you to JPML from the daft club for providing me with some very interesting artwork for this project. Cheers mate, you can have the first digital copy :D

Another big thanks goes to everyone who collaborated with me and remixed tracks that are to be included on this release. It's all very varied and I appreciate all the work these guys have done as well as me.

The last big thanks goes to my loving girlfriend Tracey who, without her constant support and advice, I would'nt have bothered making this release work. Cheers, Love you Loads <3

The release includes such collabs as "Dark Laughter (With Jester)" (Possibly the best thing i've worked on, ever, thanks jester :P) and "In America" with my best friend, Dan Talbot :D. There are also some very old tracks indeed that were never released anywhere, such as "Luna", "Coolioso" and "Retrographic Backwards".

I Really hope people like the variety in this release, I certainly love the randomness of this compilation :D

Cheers everyone!

New Projects

OK so last night I had a bit of a brainwave regarding my aliases, and realised that im totally confused by it!

Basically, Im going to try really hard to make a new Dark DJ Album for next year. And this will be a mix of trance, techno, house, and experimental. I'm kinda aiming for a deadmau5 style. This will also have some collaborations, including DJ GODS, Thomas En Masse, Ques and more If I can find some!

My Other Dark DJ releases this year include my "Greatest Hits", which will be out before the end of the year, "Dance Electric" single coming late october possibly, and "Remixes: Volume Three", which will incllude some new remixes of mine.

Ive also decided that, since I only hasve one song as "The Framptons", this is the EP i will be working on next ("To Be Framp EP"). That track is also pretty old ("Three"), and I dont have the original track file for it, so Im gonna have to work hard to make the other tracks in the same acid synth style.

My next big project will be "Starstruck Evolution", which is what I will be working on parallel to my next Dark DJ Album (Which is still untitled as of right now, and has no songs yet). This self titled SE album will be my pursuit of an "Ambient" album, and I will be beginning this project shortly after finishing "To Be Framp".

And finally, I may possibly bring back two of my old aliases for another two ep's, If i dont feel overloaded. "Tokyo Bass" and "Night Rock". I will hopefully be uploading and posting the original Tokyo Bass project soon.

On this post, I will also ask if anyone else would like to do some collaborations for my 2010 album? If so, comment this post

Oblivion 2009 Completed

It might not be the best live mix / DJ set in the world, but, hey, everybody starts somewhere.

I have played this set at several friend / family occaisions over the summer, and people have, in general, liked it. Some have even said that, with some fine tuning, I could eventually play this in a club of some sort. So, I've decided to upload the entire set to youtube.

Below are the links to the videos, and the full tracklist.

Part Two

Part Three

Part Four

Part Five

Fire Up Mons Meg!

Well, this is my musical plans for the next year:

"Dance Electric" will be the final single from "Darkness", and will have a b-side, possibly two remixes, and a bonus "Muscle Machine" Remix, as Dance Electric borrowed heavily from this old track.

"Dark DJ - Greatest Hits" Will be a three disc anthology coming hopefully by December.

"Remixes: Volume Three" is my latest compilation of remixes I've done of other people's songs. And I may add some self remixes too perhaps.

"Dark Christmas 2009" will be my seasonal christmas EP, may have a new, better version of "Mr Grey" too.

"Untitled EP", which will have names (Possibly) based on steam locomotives, a passion of mine.

"Untitled Project Three" is the working title of my next big album, which will be a mix of genres this time, and hopefully I'll be collaborating with a few artists, Including "Thomas En Masse" and "Ques".

"To Be Framp", my first real project as "The Framptons". So far this has only one track, "Three", which I will possibly upload soon.

Peace :)

Why Should I Care?

Lately I've been wondering if anyone really reads this blog. But what's bugging me is this: Why should I care if people don't read this?

I've already been shunned by most of the musical communities I come from, but why should I stop expressing myself? Yes, sometimes I feel like giving up, but that's because I get no encouragement from anyone nowadays, and that upsets me sometimes.

But I guess I still try to make music because I enjoy it. And I will still use this blog to update on what i'm doing, no matter who reads it, because I recon, deep down, I only use this blog for myself.

If anyone out there has anything to say, please feel free to comment.

Dance Electric: Coming Soon

So, My last "Darkness" Single will finally be upon us!

All I need for this one, mind, is possibly two remixes. And I believe I might have already found my remixers!

EDIT: Sample Pack

There will also be a B-side, "Galimandrix", and possibly one or two remixes of other tracks from "Darkness".

More updates coming soon,

Needs One More Remix...

...The release of "Needs More Bass" has been pushed back until next weekend, as I am currently still awaiting one remix, Which I beleive will be very good!

For those who read this, the artist remixing this track, "DJ Muziek" (Better known as "Pants 3000", I have been wanting on a proper release of mine forever, So this time I am making the exception of moving the release date this time.

Needs More Decisions

Through my recent bout of annoyances, I have decided to split my latest release into two parts, a la "Automatic".

Meaning, what, exactly?

Well, due to the amount of remixes that I am planning on recieving regarding my next single from Darkness, "Needs More Bass", I'm going to do what I did with Automatic.

That means, basically, there is going to be an official "Single", As in, The original track and a B-Side ("Galimandrix") and possibly 2 remixes (Preferrably the "Starstruck Evolution Remix" and "Dark DJ Remix", aka the Bass Mix), Which for personal issues will not be avaliable for download immediately when completed. Rather, that people interested in owning the Single will have to contact me at my personal E-mail for it.(Which, also, has to be asked for)

The other release will be "Needs More Bass EP" which will have the original track, a Radio edit, and a few remixes, including the epic "Jester Remix" and the "Thomas En Masse" remix.

That enough info for the one person out there who reads this?

Dark.

[EDIT!] I am aiming to have the "Needs More Bass EP" finished by at least 20th September, so those who are remixing it, please send them before that date. Cheers.

Work

I am now officially planning my next album, to be released next year!

But, by release, I mean that it will NOT be commecially downloadable; Instead, fans will need to email me for it. Or, I may think up some competition in a couple of months time, to see who will get a sneak peak of the album.

Bit of cryptic information there, BUT, there is also another "Album" coming out next year...

My Greatest hits.

A 5-6 disc blowout of all of my stuff over the last 3 years, Meaning album tracks, ep tracks, singles tracks, bonus & unreleased material and some rare remixes.

More info soon, as this is just a quickie.

Dark.

P.S: Fans should note that I am planning on working under several new and old aliases as of next year, so keep an ear out!

Needs More Bass Sample Pack:

For any remixers who fancy having a go at this, my favourite remixes (if I even get any back) will be on the single, the others I will be utilising for a project I am doing next year. Hopefully this may encourage people to actually have a go at remixing this this time?

Weekend Mix Beta Stage

I've suddenly been thrown a mammoth of a challenge! My aunt is having a BBQ Next weekend, and has asked me to mix at the party. One little problem: I can't "Mix" conventionally, as in, On a DJ Mixer (One thing I will need to do in the future).

So, I've come up with a solution: using my own songs and remixes, I plan to create a Pre-made mix, then play this while controlling other filters on the mixer. This is pretty much exactly what I'll be doing for "Oblivion", so the mix I make may very well end up being the practice run to see If I can do it.

This is what I have so far: A Half Hour megamix of some of my songs. I still need to create a proper "Intro" and to fill in another half hour of music (I'm booked to play 1 Hour.)

I'll upload the track in a few days, as I still have some things to fix on the Beta Stage Mix.

Needs New Singles

Photobucket

...That's right, I've decided to create three more singles from "Darkness", purely because the tracks in question deserve them.

I decided that the first three singles ("Automatic", "Shapeshifter" & "Rex Rez") are technically promotional singles (Pre-releases), and that , really, I have plenty of time to create more singles for the more popular songs.

So, for now, the singles i'm going to be making are as follows:

"Futura", which I've already decided will only have one b-side, "Ventura". Yes, Thomas Bangalter used the same name on his track, but those two titles really go together. This will be the only 2 track single from this album (simmilar to my older singles) and Is being made due to the positive comments I've recieved regarding "Futura".

"Needs More Bass" will include a radio edit and possibly two remixes plus a B-side bonus track. I will Be uploading a sample pack for "Needs More Bass" in the near future but, If I dont get any remixes back, They will be self remixes (possibly from "The Framptons" or "Tokyo Bass").

"Dance Electric" will have possiblytwo to three remixes/ B-sides on it. But I may also be adding two or three "Bonus" remixes on this release, such as my W-I-P remix of my favourite song from darkness, "Extend Extra", and possibly a "Black & White" or "Late Nights" remix. Again, more news on this soon.

For now, Ill be working on "Futura" and bringing out my next Oblivion practice session this month. I will actually be starting "Oblivion" itself near the end of the year possibly, giving me all of next year to complete.

Peace...

Dark House: Volume Two

Photobucket

Photobucket

It's Finally Done!

Dark House: Volume Two

The second volume of my (once) popular sampled house series. I'm hoping this will get some more interest as I've worked pretty hard making this one.

I'm one of these artists who quite like to chop up samples so that they are slightly distorted and different from the source material, to add some sort of creativity to the new tracks. I've used this effect quite nicely, I think, On "Old Skool" and "Old Skool II", Which are my favourites from this EP right now.

I've been a bit naughty with this release, as it's format differs from my original conception. You see, for Dark House, I wanted to have all tracks with at least one sample. But on this release, "Numbers" contains no samples, but is "Inspired" by Ian Pooley's earlier work (Namely, his track "Puppets" from "Relations"). There is also the fact that I've got two versions of essentially the same song on this release (Here's looking at you two, Old Skool / Old Skool II).

I will say that I hope people enjoy "Enterprise", as it uses mainly synth but a funky sample too. It reminded me of fair ground music, to be honest :D. My least favourite would be "Power Cruise", which actually samples from Microsoft Train Simulator! :O.

But anyway, enjoy this new ep, for it will be my last for a while now, because of "Oblivion" and the pre release practice sessions. I really must get working on these!

Toodles, Chaps!

Oblivion Practice Sessions

...Is now going to be a pre-release "Album Taster", with around 5 or 6 "Mixes" included, when I finish them. This is all before I finally settle down and actually create Oblivion proper, so this thing will hopefully demonstrate what I wish to eventually achieve.

I'll only post another mix or two, then Ill keep the rest until I release "OPS".

For now, Here is my latest practice run, Including "Test" and "Testarossa", and anohter sample, if anyoine can guess what it is and where it's from (Try playing the track backwards for a random reminder of my past!)

Oblivion Practices: Part One

01 Automatic / One Wrong Turn / Extend Extra

My very first practice run...thing...in preparation for "Oblivion", to show people my idea of what I wish to achieve. It's not perfect, but it's definitely better than what I thought I'd be doing for this project. But most importantly, this is just me having a bit of fun, for a change :)

First opinions, anyone?

Up For Remix?

A quick new post to ask a favour to anyone reading my blog who is interested in remixing...

If people would be kind enough to comment, can people request remix sample packs from me and maybe spin me a couple of remixes? I'm interested in this because im going to be putting together a 3 or 4 disk "Best Of Dark DJ" kind of thing in the near future (more on this another time) and would like some variable remixes to go with it.

Sorry for the odd request, but i'd really appreciate some new sounds ^_^

Old Skool, New Skool, Whatever.

Dark DJ - "Old Skool"

This is kinda a preview for my next EP, "Dark House: Volume Two". Been working on it for a couple of days, and I must say I think i'm much better at sampling than I thought!

Enjoy the music,

New Music On The Table

Well, I've already started thinking about what I will be producing next, and now I have two action plans...

These are starting "Oblivion", the "Live Mix / Compilation" album, and completing "Dark House: Volume Two", the follow up to my popular sampled house EP released last year.

I'm aiming to complete Dark House Two by around late august, to give Darkness a few months to circulate and gather feedback. I'm not aiming to start oblivion until september, and don't intend to finish it until next year now.

Over & out,

Dark.

Darkness

Photobucket

Photobucket

Well, It's finally here!

"Darkness", my long-awaited 2009 album, has been in the making for over 6 months now, and I personally beleive that due to the amount of hard work I've put into it, it is my best work to date.

The album itself is primarily experimental house, unlike my previous album, "Land's End" ,Which was a mix of genres. There is also a noticeable change in my technique, as i've taken alot of time editing the tracks, adding vox and filters to make them different and more varied compared to my previous works. I'm very proud of this.

This album has already had three promotional singles released so far, "Automatic", "Shapeshifter" and "Rex Rez", which can be downloaded on my mediafire catalogue or found in earlier posts. It also has something related to it that i've never done before: a promo video (featuring a sample of "Late Nights"), On top of a proposed official music video coming in the next few weeks hopefully.

Well, without further ado, here is the tracklist (Youtube Videos links included):

01 Dusk

02 Futura

03 Rex Rez

04 Alt Gear

05 Automatic

06 Dance Electric

07 Needs More Bass

08 Black & White

09 Late Nights

10 Extend Extra

11 Darkness

12 Shapeshifter

13 Phantomile

14 Dawn

And here is the download link from Mediafire:

Dark DJ Presents: "Darkness"

Please, for the love of god, I would absolutely love some feedback from this. It's my best work to date so I would love to know what I've done right and wrong with this. Either way, enjoy the music!

Cheers,

Dark.

My Next Project: "Oblivion"

For those of you who actually follow anything I say, you may remember that a while back I mentioned "Oblivion", but never gave a satisfactory explaination for it.

Well, It's pretty much going to be my next Album, but, instead of new material, Im gonna pull off something inspired by Daft Punk's "Alive 2007" tour. As in, a "Live Remix Album".

Basically, I'll be making two different sets. One will be the "Album Live Set", as in the one I will physically release, Pre-Mixed. The other will be the "Blank Live Set", with no mixing / filtering done to it, which I could use if I ever play my music live anywhere. For those of you who remember my terrible "Live Mixes" of 2008, this is gonna be nothing like it!

I'll be utilising my most recent material for this, Including tracks from "Land's End" and "Darkness". I will also be using some older material, from my 2007/2008 albums and eps, as well as some music I composed that did'nt make it onto any of my official "Releases".

When I first started to come up with the idea of a mix, I created a piece of music that would have been perfect as an opener. That composition evolved into this:

Dark DJ - "The Theme Park", Track 09 from "Dark Chronicles", 2008.

Which itself is on my "Dark Chronicles" Odd-ends album. I can still potentially use this as the opener with some tweaks, unless I can think of something a little more unusual.

I'll probably post something in the near future as an example of what I'm going to try and achieve, so check back often!

And as I'm feeling a little generous, here is a track that did'nt make it to "Darkness", But may be utilised for "Oblivion":

Dark DJ - "Numbers", Unreleased Track

Sorry for the long post, but please Check back soon for updates!

Cheers,

Dark.

Rex Rez Promo Single Out Now

Photobucket

The Final FINAL Promotional Single for Darkness is done, with a week to spare!

I Always liked "Rex Rez", since I made it way back in January, but, at 2:51 in length, I never thought that I would bother making a single for it.

Well, Recently I made a new track called "Mad Max", and I was going to make an EP with that track and a few others i've been working on, but then I thought "oh, that name is simmilar to Rex Rez...what about making it a b-side Instead?". Encouraged by my girlfriend, I went ahead with that Idea.

The track itself is a slight departure from my signature Dark DJ House style, with a slightly crazier edge to it, and alot more filtering than I have ever done before! I'm hoping this track becomes popular, because I really have been trying to make this album and it's singles differen from my older stuff :).

Without Further Ado, here is the download link:

Dark DJ Presents: "Rex Rez".

And the tracklist:

01 Rex Rez

02 Rex Rezzed

03 Mad Max

Enjoy, and if you like, please comment!

CRYDAMOURE!

Well, I did'nt get chosen to be the new Ilictronix Blog staff writer...But oh well, Probably would'nt be any good at it anyways...Congrats to NiteShade though, for becoming the new writer, looking forward to your posts!

Although I'm a little disappointed, I probably would'nt do a better job, But saying that, I am probably going to do my own review-esque things here...

Ahem, Anyway, On to the funkier news, Guess what finally came in the post yesterday?

CRYDAMOURE'S "WAVES"!

Waves

I've been waiting for that for ages now :] And it's Legendary. Although the entire CD is just essentially short versions of the tracks, it keeps the whole album fresh by giving small chunks of action rather than having only 12 tracks of 6 minutes in lenght, which could get rather boring I recon...

Now I finally have both compilations, on top of all the crydamoure releases digital, So i'm a happy chappy!

Hopefully that means I can do some more writing on here, Or Ilictronix Blog, If Prez accepts my Entry. PLEASE DO! But other than that, that means more time making music, driving about pointlessly and seeing the missus, of course!

Oh, and before I forget, I might as well quickly announce that I'm working on a new EP, and that I'm thinking of releasing some new music under a different name soon...

But, for now, Toodles, Chaps!

Shapeshifter

Dark DJ Presents: "Shapeshifter"

Release Date: Thursday 11th June 2009

01 Shapeshifter (Radio Edit)

02 Shapeshifter (Album Version)

03 Shapeshifter (Dark DJ Remix)

04 Midnight Romance

So, it's finished! The second promotional single froim "Darkness" is upon us! Shapeshifter was one of the first tracks I pulled together for the album, and was a major influence for the style for the rest of the album.

I was going to leave this release until Monday, but, as it's all finished, in my opinion, I thought I might as well upload today, as I have'nt released any new material for a bit now...

Opinions and critisisms would be appreciated, but please download and enjoy this, I worked hard on it.

Cheers,

Dark.

P.S, Can anyone guess the sample I used for "Midnight Romance"?...No Peeking...

A New Proposition

I've just been given an allmighty cool task!

My uncle's partner is in the process of writing a production called "The Queen Of Clubs", and He has asked me if I would like to compose some music to be considered with it's use! Obviously, I am well chuffed at this opportunity for some coverage!

The only problem will be if the production company and the music organisers for the play want to use the music I compose (Only three or four demo tracks should be enough, apparently).

I must start composing something new right away!

Shapeshifter Video

A very brief announcement...

I will be starting to record a video for "Shapeshifter" very shortly, and aim to finish it in two to three weeks, With the single, before "Darkness" is released.

I genuinely have no real idea what the video will contain, but this will most likely be still images and a few random video clips of movement to convey the meaning of the track.

Any pointers, anyone?

The Alter Ego EP

This is pretty much done, seeing as it is just a collection of tracks I have created under different aliases over the last year. Thought i'd just clear up what my Alter Ego's actually are:

Advanced

Deep Space

Tokyo Bass

The Framptons

Tortellini Twister

Night Rock

So far , I only have three tracks for this ep:

The Framptons - Three

Tokyo Bass - Tokyo Heights

Tortellini Twister - Tortellini Twister

Hopefully I'll be adding some more soon, and I'm expecting to release this between now and the end of the month.

On another quick announcement, I've changed the proposed single for Darkness from "Extend Extra" to "Shapeshifter" as I rekon I could do more with that track. This is also in production. And "Darkness" is still scheduled for release on the 1st July. Hope someone is looking forward to this...

Peace

Dark DJ Presents "Remixes"

Remixes: Voluem Two

Over the past two years, I have had the pleasure of not only advancing my own music, but also learning new remix techniques too. Due to the vast amount of time I usually have at my disposal(I'm very lazy in reality...), I've also compiled a vast amount of remixes, edits and versions of other artist's songs.

Of course, seeing as half of these remixes were for my own enjoyment, and most were not scheduled to be added to the original artist's releases or projects, I decided to begin a series of compilations, Simply called "Remixes".

These "Volumes" include remixes of tracks from mainly fellow artists / friends from "thedaftclub.com" and from MSN, and a few remixes of other more well known artists such as Daft Punk and Ian Pooley.

In any case, Here is the first volume In case anyone missed it, didn't know about it or didn't care:

Remixes: Volume One (2008)

And this is the next volume:

Remixes: Volume Two (12-05-2009)

Enjoy the remixes!

Dark House Remixes

Anyone fancy remixing tracks from my "Dark House" EP?

Photobucket

Firstly, You can download the Original EP from my mediafire account, Here. Secondly, a backstory to what is essentially my most popular release to date:

Released in late 2008, "Dark House" was my very first venture into "Sampling": That is, taking old disco songs and transforming them into magnificently house-esque songs with a dark undertone, Hence the title.

Now, I myself used to think that artists who sample are pretty much stealing old songs and "Remixing" them. Piece of cake, right? WRONG! My first attempt didnt work out so well (never saved it...) mainly because I could'nt really work the samples as they were...

So, with the help of a Sample Cutter, I managed to actually try it out proporly, by cutting up the sample and changing pitch, reverb, sequence etc. The final version of this experiment was "Felix", one of my better known tracks. (Although I have a suspicion that is because it's name and the overall structure of the track is simmilar to Daft Punk's "Phoenix".)

Playing a little more, I came up with "Ignis Vantage", which sounded again quite simmilar to "Felix" but I feel it had a better quality sample. Afterwards came "Pikes Peak", Which was originally voted the worst track on the EP, but I love it to death for some reason, no matter what anyone said!(Overprotectiveness much? And I put ALOT of work into this one!)

Possibly considered the "Filler Track" of this EP, "Funk" was actually one of my personal favourites until I finished the final track. I Think I liked this one because the name really suited the style of the song. (And is, again, simmilar to the title of another Daft Punk song, "Da Funk".)

But my true masterpiece of this album, many would agree, was "Caracus Smash". A truly epic piece of sampling on my part, created using the awkward sample I tried to use for my first attempt at sampling ("Tell Me Why, Performed By "Change", this is now one of my absolute favourite tracks, and I hope will go down in history as one of my Greatest Hits.

Anyways, enough of the history lesson! I've created sample packs for all of these, in the hope that I'll get enough variable remixes to make an album with. But also because I want to see some more love for these truly strange and epic sampled house songs. :)

Here are the sample packs for each song:

01 Felix

02 Funk

03 Pikes Peak

04 Ignis Vantage

05 Caracus Smash

Each sample pack should contain the original samples I used, as well as the cut up samples and other sounds (Drums, Synths etc.)If you do decide to remix any of these, Post a comment with a download link, or MSN / email me at: thomasdibden(at)hotmail(dot)com (sorry for that, But it reduces spam, allegedly.

Thanks

Those B******s At Discogs...

...Are in the process of removing my "Dark Trax" discography, labelling me as a Bedroom DJ. Im More Of A House Musician, Actually! I'm pretty furious with them, as It took me the best half of three days to complete it proporly...

Photobucket

Nevermind, I've only created "Dark Trax" to proporly catagorise all my releases...I Can Easily Redo It On My Website...

Hmm...I wonder If I could Do the Discography on Internet Archive...

One Right Release

So it has finally reached the deadline for One Wrong Turn...And it's another three track single...

One Wrong Turn Single (Download Link)

Tracklist:

01 One Wrong Turn

02 One Wrong Turn (Renumber)

03 One Wrong Turn (Sounds Like Johnny Depp Remix)

I'm loving the SLJD remix, for its deep electro-trance and distinctive style, but i'll always prefer the original...although the renumber IS close to perfect, apart from being over 7 minutes long...

Anyways, Enjoy!

In America!

Collaboratin Time!

Me and a friend (Below) have collaborated to create a Song! Well when I say we collaborated, He created the vocals and I created the music. It's not the best i've ever composed, but Its all in the name of fun and randomness!

The track's idea is based around Daniel's phrase "In America!" Which, for the life of me, I can't remember where he got it from. Oh Well...Its still pretty funky. Below Is A picture of The Lyricist and Vocalist, Daniel Talbot.

One Wrong Artwork

First of all, apologies for all the "One Wrong Turn" titles lately, Trying too hard to make puns...

Anyway, The main reason I'm posting is because of my recently finished artwork for the "One Wrong Turn" Single.

Anyone else like this? I think, personally, it is Genius!

The Shadow Group

Photobucket

Finally! After much discussion and muddling up stuff, me and a few members of The Daft Club have finally sorted out this new DJ Group. And we've even (more or less) finished our first mix!

Well, when I say we, I Mean Three People: Me, Gavin, and DJ Waybig. You know who you are. Anyway, the track we've remixed is actually one of my own, "Automatic", Though it's a bit late to put it on the single / ep I'm afraid...

So waybig (aka Smashtwisted)created the initial samples (The Intro) while I shamelessly took on the duty of completing the entire track. With luck, He will take the track back and add more to it, or gavin will be able to have a go at editing it.

This is what it sounds like so far: Automatic (The Shadow Group Remix)

More Wrong Turns

I Think I shall need a few remixes for my "One Wrong Turn" single...

So, in this case, Ive asked three people to have a stab at remixing it (Joe Mitchell, Daft Rebel & Hani), and by now they should have the sample pack, which is downloadable
here if anyone's interested in having a go themselves...

With Luck, I want to have this single finished by about the 4th May, So that I can press on and finish "Darkness".

Check back soon.

One Wrong Turn, Renumbered

For the last few weeks, I have been arguing with myself over making another single for "Land's End". Well, for now i've come up with an idea.

Out of boredom, I decided to go over the original track, "One Wrong Turn", and came up with this Renumber:

http://www.mediafire.com/?zyc4mnz0mmf

and for those who have not heard the original:

http://www.mediafire.com/?udmyi03gzmi

There is a pretty substantial difference, like more percussion and slightly different organisation of the synths, but overall its mainly a funkier version of the original. So on that note, Ill most likely continue working on a OWT single, possibly adding one or two b-sides.Oh and I must add that I used a computer generated vocal sample for both tracks, loyalty free :)

I kind of work haphazardly, it seems, as im still sorting out a single from my last album when Im still working on my new album. I better keep on top of things...

Over and out.
